Okay, so I'm really not a Jedi! You got me!

Hello! I'm not only new to this site, but new to online marketing in general. In fact, I've spent the last 24 hours doing almost nothing but research. Like others, I too have been curious for many years about what it takes to leverage the potential of the internet, but I was not sufficiently motivated to overcome my apprehension until recently.

I came to this site by way of a post by Nord in the digitalpoint.com forums, but I ultimately started my research at the ProfitLance site and various other search results related to Mike's site.

Being new at all of this, I don't have much more to say other than my greeting and it looks this is both a good resource and a good community. Looking forward to finding my way around here.

I appreciate you finding your way here through my posts! It's Norb< but it's ok I get Norm Normb Nord Nob<hehe, and while in Mexico I'm called Norrrrberrrto (roll the r)...

Great to have you, and for the record, I applaud that you are going through a lot of research first. I'll tell you this, when I first started looking around at all the networks, including PL, I was lost too. Joined DP and about 15-20 other IM/M/AM forums, and that made me even more lost for a while!

I think what you said is great (This place is a good resource and a good community), this is what we've strived for, no bung, nobody selling each other bung, and nothing but profitable posts/info wherever possible.

If you are ready to commit to ClickBank as your first real campaign I think you are good to go without risking much (some time - and optionally some money for domains and hosting). You should have a good read in the ClickBank stickies, literally step by step walk throughs on setting up good campaigns from scratch. Also check out the free tools section, lemonarian has a great guide in there too.

Ah, my apologies for getting your name wrong! My last name is butchered quite regularly so I detest doing it to others!

Regarding my name, the first 2 letters are short for ProfitLance, and the last 3 are my initials. I was so exhausted from staying up late doing the research that I couldn't come up with anything more creative earlier today so I used that on all my sign-ups!

So far, I have my clickbank account set up, bought a new domain that I'm hosting myself, and have ideas on where I might go with this. However, I'm going to read through all the material you just suggested before making a move.

I'm so excited to get something going that it's hard to hold back and approach it carefully and methodically.

It looks like I saved myself from a negative experience at DP. I only read through one of Norb's and Amy Cheung's posts and hadn't bothered with the rest of the site yet.

i too found norb in DP ... i think it was his legendary 1000th post or something ... when a guy was prepared to give so much info, i knew his forums were worth a look ... and i think this forum has kept the spirit alive well ...

Thanks for the welcome antantnz. It was Norb's dedication and generosity that drew me in as well. So many sites out there that take and take and this one is the only one that I've seen designed around giving back to a community.
