NC Membership Update...
Hi fam,
Some news for you guys that I must share.
The forum has quickly grown into one of the best marketing communities online bar none. I feel that since we made this place private and stuck a membership fee in front of the gates - people have become quite fond of the knowledge base, and have strayed away from posting bullshit like at most forums.
Over all the objective has been reached, and now the community self-polices itself, nobody really gets out of line or sells anyone anything or has a sneaky agenda, and if they do it's transparent to the family at least...
Anyway - I am in the midst of setting up a promo for the next month or two for our community that may replace the current pricing model for the forum. So if you are currently setup with a paid membership please listen up.
1. We are going to be introducing a one-time fee (good for a year or two) to join as a promotional effort in the near future.
2. If you have a paid membership - this might sound odd but - please cancel it (forward your last emailed invoice to cancel@clickbank.com), you will retain your membership here for a minimum of two years. If you've already paid for a year in advance, your membership is now good for life and you'll never be rebilled again (please follow the above cancellation procedure).
At this point we'd like to see more people join but more importantly I want to see less lurkers and more people sticking around without worrying about the next time they may be rebilled...
This will also be sent as an email notification when we are ready to switch to the new promotion.
Cheers,
N.

Re: NC Membership Update...
Sounds great. I think this is a good iea, with more people joining and realising how good the forums are word of mouth should bring more and more people to the forums.

Re: NC Membership Update...
* copy/profit folks are ok
* don't worry about affording a full year/recur next year. If the community grows THAT much, it will be a good problem to have but rest assured the foundational crew won't ever have to pay again.
Thx guys,
N.

Re: NC Membership Update...
Maybe it's just me, but I would prefer if this was a monthly paid forum, so the affiliates could get recurring commissions for the members.
Considering this is a great forum, so people will stay, meaning constant cash flow.

Re: NC Membership Update...
What is it that I can't see with my current account that I'm missing?
I'm so busy with projects I really haven't sat down and taken a look at what I don't have access to.

Probably the VIP section of the forum, but you don't get there by paying more money. The upgrade is free as long as you contribute and provide value to the community.

Re: NC Membership Update...
muchos gracias!!
Oh I plan to. I'm working with 2 resources (for articles outsourcing and email marketing) that I have literally NEVER seen mentioned here before and it baffles me you guys aren't all over them.
Or maybe you are and you're all keeping it hush hush lol.
Either way after I get done experimenting and becoming a guru using them myself I'll definitely share. If anything it'll help noobies.

Cool Norb, though I agree with Steven on the monthly thing, MUCH more attractive to affiliates.

Re: NC Membership Update...
Trust me I've been playing with this idea for a while. And there is one thing you guys don't see which I do - and that is the retention rate.
It's attractive to affiliates but not to end customers. We unfortunately still have a high turnover rate here. People come and go a lot, in fact not many AT ALL are still on the recurr. So doing a monthly may seem more profitable, but in truth people are not sticking around so eventually affiliates plateau (all have).
The numbers don't lie, and we're not growing anymore as far as $ goes, in fact it's getting smaller month to month so I think this will a) Convert MUCH easier b) enable people to stick around longer c) give people more value for their buck d) become very competitive with the other paid month to month forums.
I do appreciate the feedback though so please keep it coming. Lem you are one of the only people that has successfully recruited recurs without many cancellations so for that I am sorry mate. However I still think you and everyone else will convert much easier once we do a one time fee...
Cheers,
N.

Re: NC Membership Update...
I'm not quite aware of the current membership details (so I may be speaking out of line here) but I would make it so that new affiliates couldn't sign up through their own hoplinks - i.e. they would have to choose an already established member as referral.
If that's how it works.. I may have some ideas for drawing new members! I'll look it up.
