This is a simple pre-leak effort before I even test the conversions however I KNOW that MANY sales will come within the first few weeks of launch as I have many list owners on board so overflow to SE searches alone will be nice here...

**The current front page is not going after those that are already infected as much as those that have sensitive data and MUST protect it before it's too late. I think this will be an interesting way to approach the demographic.

As stated, I have the bigger Forex list owners on board for this so anyone that has SE listings will naturally get that initial bump of sales.

Why is it different?
First of all, this isn't some simple rebrand of some shitty short-term programming team knocking out 10 of these a week. I have a world renowned software dev team that has put in their 6 years of relevant project experience into this and built it from scratch. Their engine for both the spyware and registry is one of if not THEE most advanced and complex in the industry so I'm more than confident with this! All of the options/functions/features do NOT work until the person registers/buys. So NO this won't clean their cookies or remove spyware or do anything more than scan and show a preview of every feature - once they go to use ANYTHING they are prompted to register the full version...

Also one of if not THEE only one that combines both spyware tools AND registry cleaners (and like 20 other functions). Most others provide the spyware tools as a seperate .exe/install file... Again my programming team for this is bonkers (and expensive! this cost mid $x,xxx to dev.) so they managed to combine a lot more into this than any competitors and I went through like a month of screening before finalizing vendor of choice.

It's going in for approval today - until it is approved, please download it, and go through the registration process and test purchase at CB to get your license key (it will be free/you will be emailed a license automatically) until it is approved.

Bug Testing?
For those that do download it and use it for their own benefit or for promotional use (screen shots, deep reviews, functionality details etc), please do your best to use ALL features and functions. We did quite a bit of bug testing and I think we're solid however you can never be too sure so if there is anything wonky that happens PLEASE report it to me.

I will have simple landers and some banner available soon, for now all relative domain names are still available...

Obviously please keep all this confidential, and feel free to be creative with how you approach the customers. They will be two fold: 1. Those that have really FCUKED PC's and need a solution NOW. 2. Those that have sensitive machines, workstations, call centers/staff PC's, etc. that MUST protect themselves before they get compromised. Building fear and an immediate solution is the objective here. I will also have a LOT more material to work with for you guys later (like all the bugs/trojans/viruses/threats that this cleans, the help.pdf file which is done VERY well and has tons of info to scrape for your marketing...

Will also note that this works as an upsell on ANY product so if you are a vendor, plug this on your thank you page as an optional step and I can bet you'll sell a few that way too (there is no market that isn't affected by this - anyone with a pc is a potential customer).

Yes it went to my junk box that's why I didn't find it at first. Was just thinking if it goes to the junk box for actual customers they may get confused and annoyed.

First after I installed the software and I clicked finish with the box ticked for the software to start automatically it didnt. Not a major problem though, so I started it manually by double clicking the icon then I went to do a spyware killer scan and the first time I did it I got several of the same errors, it seemed I was getting an error everytime it tried to scan so it ended up freezing and shutting down. I cannot remember what the error was but it was the same error 4 or 5 times coming up in a windows box.

The OS I am running is Windows XP Home edition.
I was using the registered version.
I have AFG 8.0 setup and running.
I am logged in to Windows as administrator.

Do you want me to try the software on my laptop too because that runs Vista Premium edition and could give different results?

I am just doing a registry scan now and all is going well.

1. What AV/firewall they had used.
2. if the program works well after closing any firewalls or other antivirus software.

Once I have this information, I will be able to produce a workaround in a few hours

explanation:

Me: So what could be the cause of him getting errors do you think?

Programmer: The software is trying to obtain some administrative privileges when ran. I assume that for some reason the "cacls" utility (which is being used for obtaining such privileges) fails (possibly due to lack of administrative access, although that does not seem to be case - but it might as well be since they have their antivirus turned on) to run, and that's why the errors may be shown.
I think he needs to close his antivirus/firewall and try running the program again just as a testing precaution.

I just had it tested by a few peers (one on vista, one on XP pro, one on XP home) and theirs are fine so far as well. If all of you other guys could please do a quick run through and post your results it would be MUCH appreciated!

Mikey - please go through the register process/buy through clickbank - it's still not approved so it's a test purchase (free - put in fake info). That's the only way to get a license/key. It gets emailed to you automatically once your test purchase goes through.

And yes, I'm quite pleased with the engines/how deep it searches/you can tell when a scanner takes LONG and finds lot's of threats that it's a good engine. I tried like 12 of them on different machines. Some finish in like 20-40seconds and find 22 threats, while the good ones will often find 2000+ and even when you clean them, you run the scan again it will still often find another few hundred... It's a good way to repeatedly filter your machine so it's prime.

In theory, that is a good idea, however no if the person takes the software and installs it on another machine there will not be a cookie served. The cookies still work the same and are fired on a hoplink. Though most people will NOT download this and bring it to another machine unless that other machine does NOT have internet access. Don't forget people download the app right from the site so ideally the person would go to their other machine and use the same path to get there, or forward themselves the email they got to their other machine...

Your version could potentially spell disaster for a lot of affiliates, and it would let people easily game the system. How? Basically if I can get the world to download the demo version then my cookie would stay there and keep overwriting other affiliates cookies every time they went to register or to use the app... Almost like 'first cookie served get's the sale' << It's an interesting thought, but leaves the whole platform open to be gained as people could cookie stuff the crap out of everyone possible and sit back/wait for monies while others promote for them...

The initial 4 landing pages are very 'funny' and perhaps not aimed properly at our demo as most will be frantically searching for a solution for their messed up machines so I'll be making a few more 'serious' and corporate style pages. For now this is all still throwing jam at the wall until we have some numbers to look at.

It went in for approval yesterday, fingers crossed that today/tomorrow we go live...

Also the branding is great IMO - "work station optimizer" sounds like a category of software rather. As in "Which work station optimizer do you use?" "Oh I just use the original one".

By the way if I go into "Block Malicious ActiveX" I can't really scroll the list. I can "click-scroll" it but not grab the scroller bar and move it up and down.

Also for this feature it wasnt clear to me at first glance that you just have to tick the box at the bottom and let it block the whole list. Since there is this list presented, it looks like you have to know each entry to select the ones you want blocked.

I understand that by giving the list you stress the benefits of the software (it cleans all this) but maybe there should be a bigger "select and block all" button.

Just some minor bitchin' though, great stuff all in all.

Yeah Norb when you're not connected to the Internet when hovering over it or trying to load it got an error saying something like I am not allowed to use the software no authorisation and to contact immediately.

Found something that is counter intuitive to me. First thought it was a bug.

If you run a spyware scan, either "quick" or "advanced", and then you choose "cancel", all the navigation buttons stop working. They still light up if you hover the mouse over.

It turns out you have to click "continue" on the bottom right. Which I presumed was the button to "continue scan".

Maybe it would be better to allow other buttons to be clicked after cancelling the scan, or somehow pointing out that you have to go through the results page, even if you cancell scan. Or maybe name the button "results" instead of "continue".

** Also, just learned that yes, as a precautionary measure and so this doesn't get shared in any way - it does in fact need to be connected to the internet for registration. Once it's registered, I believe it checks the DB online randomly for authorization codes to match up to your PC... End of the day - most will have these problems they need to fix from being ONLINE to begin with, so I'd rather have this in place than a one time reg. which people can crack and share endlessly...

Bruusk - interesting point, will go through this step a few times and try to improve nav.

Just spent about 4hrs scanning everything.

It was about 3hrs 15 mins with around 550,000 files
Then the registry cleaner, internet enhancer, etc, and then the defrag-

After all of this, I noticed an improvement after start up during load time, and an increase in speed in loading this browser window, and navigating to NC......

...and when i click Start > Control Panels, it loads up instantly, instead of the typical few second or longer wait

I already got a few domains the other day for this-- early bird gets the worm!

Ok so time for some updates:

** It's converting really well!! (between 1:14 - 1:50 on targeted uniques).

** Have some affiliates sending me the SHITTIEST PPC traffic (on first impression - but it's converting) from non-English speaking territories and getting 1:150'ish. At first I was like WTF is this guy doing... but then realized that advertising in spanish or in africa is probably pennies, and so they are probably profitable with the broad traffic anyway - smart move!

** Software has been submitted to Tucows, Cnet, Softpedia, Some other I forget now (and they will syndicate/mirror this on a ton of sites too).

** Sales: I was curious to see how this would pan out regarding the sales as there are 10 different combinations on the register page. I was expecting to see mostly single license purchases without the upgrade - however 90% of the purchases so far have been for the 3-5 license packages, and about the same amount of people upgrade to the 20 year license extension.

** The creatives have gone through some more refinement, the current front sales page and the register page are now somewhat finalized and converting/working well.

** No refunds so far, no customer support inquiries so far. (<< awesome - in forex by now I would have had like 10-20).

** Direct linking IN the software? NO - but EVEN BETTER!! Check this out - you can give people a download to the .exe file AND cookie them right from your page - so here is the link:

^ I HATE when affiliates buy junk traffic and kill my bandwidth... however for the first time I think in my history as a vendor, I SAW TOOLBAR TRAFFIC AND PTC TRAFFICEXCHANGE CAMPAIGNS CONVERT!! I was actually pretty close to reporting the one guy, but I figured what the heck he's getting me some brand awareness in all corners of the world so I'll let him be, and what do you know - the bugger converted a few times...

The others are doing pretty damn good over all - The traffic sources range quite a bit however over all this is off to a great start!
